Vintage Gigolos

It was back in 2006 when Dan and Chris founded the rock band “The Vintage Gigolos”. After they had convinced Lou, Misch and Paul to join their project, the 5 guys played their first show in May 2007. The demand for an album was increasing after some very successful performances in their home country and so, the Gigolos started the preparation for their first record at the end of 2009. Finally, their debut album “The Day After” was released December 23 at the legendary club “Melusina” in Luxembourg City.

At the end of January 2011, something very special for the whole band happened: after only one week on iTunes, their single “The Day After” reached the 2nd place in the Luxembourgish iTunes- and RTL “Hitmaschinn” – Charts. Only one week later the single then even reached the 1st place, where it remained for 2 more weeks. Consequently, the Vintage Gigolos have got their hands quite full during the last months. Indeed, the demand for shows was increasing and so the boys have been quite busy touring around in Luxembourg and Belgium since summer 2011. One of the most exciting and instructional experiences was definitely the “Rock um Knuedler 2011”, where the band had the golden opportunity to open the main stage this year.

Nevertheless, the Gigolos were not only touring around but they were also quite busy writing on their new EP. The first single of this record, “UP!”, was already presented on December 23, at Plain Vanilla (Kockelscheuer, LUX) together with the corresponding music clip. Currently, the band is planning the release show for the before-mentioned 2nd record that will take place in February/March 2012. The record will contain 4 finest rock songs as well as an acoustic version of an elder tune from their debut album.
